Patrick J. Kassen
General Counsel
Patrick is Link’s general counsel, responsible for the company’s legal and risk departments, with oversight of all acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, litigation and insurance matters. He is focused on harnessing technology to improve, enable and automate the firm’s legal and insurance work.
Prior to joining Link, Patrick was the global chief compliance officer for the Blackstone Real Estate business, where he was responsible for the firm’s compliance with securities and investment management regulation in the United States, Europe and Asia. Previously, Patrick was general counsel and head of tax for a private equity firm founded by Sam Zell, and prior to that he practiced corporate and real estate law at Cravath, Swaine & Moore.
Patrick graduated from Harvard Law School and Princeton University. In his free time, Patrick and his wife keep their two boys busy with soccer, ice hockey, hiking and volunteer work. Patrick also enjoys construction and has rehabilitated several houses, including the century-old house north of New York City where he and his family live.
