By Taquetta Harris, Senior Property Manager
As a senior property manager at Link Logistics based in Atlanta, I lead a dynamic, close-knit team that runs operations for the firm's southern Georgia portfolio. Wearing a variety of problem-solving “hats,” we manage property financials, construction projects, space walk-throughs and everything in between. Above all, we strive to be trusted partners so our customers can thrive in our spaces.
Atlanta’s industrial real estate market
Link Logistics’ industrial real estate in Atlanta ranges from larger-bay spaces of around 125,000 square feet to smaller spaces suited for couriers or family-run businesses. Located near major expressways such as I-75, I-285 and I-20, our infill properties offer strategic locations close to the end consumer.
Our local customer base includes third-party logistics companies, e-commerce brands, gyms, prosthetics manufacturers—and even a studio that trains dancers for celebrities on tour. Our Atlanta team collaborates to provide best-in-class service, develop personalized solutions and build strong customer relationships. We are constantly in the field, learning what makes each customer’s journey unique.
Championing customers’ success
My favorite part of my role is building relationships with our customers, especially when I create a special moment or solve a problem to make their lives easier.
Last year, for example, I learned that one of our customers, a facility manager at a floral arrangement company, was closing on his first home. This was a significant milestone for him, especially after facing some recent personal challenges. To celebrate, I surprised the customer with a small housewarming gift: towels, a cutting board and a few other essentials. He teared up with gratitude. It was a moment that meant so much to both of us.
Solving problems, strengthening relationships
The most meaningful interactions happen when our team makes a real difference for a customer at the moment it matters most.
Recently, I helped a new customer who was struggling to get a high-power permit from the county. Without the permit, they would be unable to take on additional products, stunting operations and profitability. Even more frustrating, the delay resulted from a vendor-related filing error. Seeing the stress the situation was causing, I worked with the vendor and contacted the county on the customer’s behalf. We secured the permit—which had been pending for weeks—in just four business days.
When a customer sees how much we care about their success and take action to deliver results, it strengthens our relationship. As my team likes to say, “No one wants a donut when they’re dealing with a leaky roof.” In other words: Our customers trust us to step in and take the right actions to move the needle in ways that really matter. It’s a privilege to serve our southern Georgia portfolio and create a foundation for shared success.
